• Cosmetic Botox or fillers should be done at least 3 weeks prior to your procedure.

  • DO NOT CONSUME alcohol or take any blood thinners (aspirin, opioid pain killers, fish oil capsules) 48 hours BEFORE your procedure, this will cause bleeding and may affect your results.

  • Discomfort: Most clients feel little or no discomfort at all. Many take a nap. If you are usually very sensitive, you may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during your menstrual cycle. We suggest booking Lip Blush or Eyeliner appointments for other times of the month.

  • Diabetics are candidates for permanent makeup but should add 2 weeks to their healing time (6 weeks total) before getting a touch up. Thyroid medications can cause poor color retention.

  • You must stop taking Accutane for 1 year before receiving Permanent Makeup

  • If you have previous permanent makeup by another artist (even if it's very old), you MUST SEND US A PHOTO before booking so that we can confirm you are candidate and to avoid being turned away at your appointment. Only some previous permanent makeup/tattoo can be covered/corrected, other cases may require removal first.

  • Stop using any anti-aging products containing retinol or glycolic acids on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment. These products cause poor retention due to encouraging skin cell turnover.

  • Any waxing or brow shaping should be done at least 2 days before. If you tint your brows, tint at least 1 week prior or 4 weeks after procedure.

  •   If you have EVER had a cold sore (even if it was many years ago) or know you carry the HSV-1 virus, you MUST be on an antiviral medication from your doctor for 3 days before & 3 days after your appointment to prevent an outbreak that will affect your results.

  • A couple days before your appointment, stay hydrated and gently exfoliate your lips after showering. You can use a lip scrub or make your own with sugar & a small amount of coconut oil. After exfoliating, keep your lips moisturized until your appointment. It is difficult to get even color on chapped, flaky lips and can result in your appointment needing to be rescheduled.

  • You must stop use of lash growing serums (Latisse, etc..) for 6 weeks before procedure. This is VERY important to prevent color migration.

  • Please have lash extensions removed prior to your appointment. Do not get new lash extensions or apply strip lashes while healing (to prevent infections).

  • DO NOT use saline eye drops while healing. Saline, sweat, excessive steam will cause color loss.

Post Procedure Care

After care is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions for the full 10 day healing period to ensure proper healing and color retention. Results will vary for all individuals and we can not guarantee your results.

  • Clean your brows every 2 hours the day of procedure (after procedure). If you will not be going directly home, we can provide you with a packet of tissues to blot lymphatic fluid from your brows. This step is very important for achieving the best color rentention.

  • Use a gentle cleanser (we suggest baby shampoo, CeraVe, Cetaphil) and clean finger tips to gently wash your brows 1x per day everyday for 7-10 days or until the flaking has stopped.  DO NOT scrub or pick off flakes. Be gentle. Let them fall off naturally to prevent color loss.

  • Make sure you blot the completely dry with a clean towel after washing.  Allow NO WATER to collect or sit in the brow area.

  • Only apply either the ointment provided/Aquaphor/Grapeseed Oil/Hustle Butter to your brows at 1-3 times per day starting the day after your procedure.  A very small amount (size of a piece of rice) to each brow with clean fingers. Do not use anything that is not approved by your artist first.

  • Very oily skin types may avoid ointment all together but continue to gently wash brows for the 7-10 days.

  • DO not expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a 2 and occcasionally 3 step process. It takes time.  BE PATIENT during your healing process your brows will change and appear different from day to day.

  • Immediately after your procedure brows will appear darker and more defined. Brows can appear more solid and a darker color than desired. Brows will be about 40-60% lighter when healed at 4 weeks.

  • Around day 4-5 you will experience flaking and your brows may look dry. DO NOT PICK your brows, let any dryness fall off naturally. If flakes get picked off prematurely, color loss will result and cause patchy brows which can lead to scarring.

  • Your brows will take up to 4-6 weeks to fully heal. When the flaking comes off, it is normal for it to look like the color is gone or patchy.  Some color will return by week 4-6. Give your brows a few weeks and the color will become clearer.  Color will continue to change on a daily basis until all healing is complete.  Brow stages are usually: Too dark, then peeling, too light, then just right and ready for a touch up to add more color.

  • You may experience itchiness in the brows due to the healing process of the dermal layer.

  • Microblading: Not everyone's hairstoke brows can heal clean and crisp. Hairstrokes for oilier skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery while drier skin types tend to heal more crisp and defined. Microblading is not recommended for oily or mature skin. Powder Brows is suitable for all skin types and also lasts longer.

  • DO NOT expose your brows to tanning or the sun during the healing process.  UV Rays can alter the pigment of your tattoo.  After the first 10 days, SPF is important to make your results last longer.

  • DO NOT sweat excessively during first 10 days to prevent color loss. Moderate exercise is fine.

  • DO NOT run direct water on your brows during the first week.

  • DO NOT use Vaseline or A&D on your tattoo. Ask your artist before applying any products to your tattoo.

  • DO NOT use any makeup, creams, exfoliants on the brows for 10 days.

  • DO NOT go into sauna’s, pools, and steam rooms for 2 weeks.

  • DO NOT get massages or facials or skin treatments during the healing process.

  • DO NOT use exfoliants, retinol acids, or AHA’s on the brow area.  It will fade your tattoo prematurely.

Allow your brows a MINIMUM of 4 weeks to heal before your touch up (8 weeks for microblading). It's takes a full 4-6 weeks for the color to settle. A touch up cannot be done before 4 weeks due to the risk of scarring.

Book your Touch Up appointment 1-3 months after your first session. Touch Ups are not included in the first session price. Please keep the high demand in mind. Touch ups after 3 months require an additional charge.

  • Touch ups are typically done within the first 3 months after the initial appointment.

  • This can be a 2 (and sometimes even 3) step process.

  • The first session is used to build shape, apply the first layer of color and gain symmetry.

  • The second session is used to perfect the brows and add density.

  • Do not expect perfect results after the first session.

  • Some client’s skin may have a harder time retaining pigment and may require additional sessions.

THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS as everyone’s result will vary due to skin type, lifestyle and the aftercare and long term care of your brow tattoo.

  • Use at least SPF 50 to protect your brows, sun exposure will cause fading and can alter the color of your tattoo.

  • Do not use retinol or chemical exfoliants on/near the brows, this will case the brows to fade faster.

  • Do not do laser your brow area (IPL etc), some lasers may change the color of the ink.

  • Maintenance is required to maintain desired results.

  • Hairstrokes (Microblading) brows typically last 1-2 years. Powder Brows can last up to 3-5 years or longer. Annual Touch Ups are highly recommended to refresh color and maintain fresh looking results.
